Cumnock Radio Tower


The Cumnock Radio Tower was built in the 1960's
It's largest width point is as round as a oval.
In the night the lights come on and it uses 17 light bulbs.
It is situated about 6 km out of town.
The cement block that holds it up is about one metre in perimeter.
The tower is in the west out of town on the way to When the light bulbs are blown a person climbs up
there to go and change them and they have a parachute in case they stumble or fall.
The radio station is the colour white.
The actual tower is estimated at 100m high.
